Sponmech Safety Systems Ltd manufacture, supply and install a comprehensive range of grinding machine guards to suit virtually all types and sizes of cylindrical, tool & surface grinding machines including Jones & Shipman, Elliot & Churchill. These are available with or without electrical interlock systems. Specially designed/bespoke grinding machine guards are also available.
• The PRE 10 protects the operator from direct contact with the rotating grindstone, components and protruding lubricant-coolant.
• Attaches to the base of the machine (point 1 on diagram) but two horizontal multi-adjustable supports allow the guard to be affixed from the bottom, side or front.
• Guard comes equipped with two sliding doors set on steel guides which allow a full opening. The guides are positioned on the outside of the guard.
• Doors with "Shockproof" transparent screens, made using top quality polycarbonate ensuring excellent visibility and resistance.
• Guard frame is steel, with an inbuilt driptray which collects coolant.
• We can tailor make brackets, mounts and modify standard guards as required.
• Operator friendly, does not restrict production and ensures maximum safety is achieved.
• Complete with double safety micro-switch conforming to EN 1088.
• All "Next Generation" Machine guards are in conformance with P.U.W.E.R (1998) regulations and come with a certificate of conformity.
