Electrical Installation & Integration of Machinery Guarding

A lot of machinery guarding is fitted to older or secondhand machinery in need of an upgrade to meet current safety requirements and legislation. 

With this, there comes the challenge of wiring new machine guarding interlocks into the existing and often complex wiring of the machine.

Our electrical control boxes are custom made and are built to integrate your new machinery guarding system onto your older machine in the most safe and compliant way possible.

Our electrical control boxes have a locking Isolator, 24v low power transformer, safety checking relay and a timer all built in so we can control solenoid locking switches on some of our projects. They also have indicator lights and an estop.

Robot system suppliers and integrators and automation specialists will often specify the electrical control systems and the interlock type. Sponmech work with machine and robot integrators to help select the best interlock for their particular process.

Sponmech’s guarding is PUWER compliant. All machinery guarding designed and manufactured by Sponmech come with certificates of conformity, are fully HSE compliant and where the application requires it, will also be CE marked.
