Sponmech have two large factories on site, with crainage and a large, fenced off storage yard. We also have ample customer parking.

This means that we regularly invest in new machinery, 3D Design Inventor packages for all designers and other business resources. We also recruit and train the very best people to do the work.
We have an in-house design team made up of expert CAD designers, each holding their own design licence for Autodesk Inventor 2026 Design Suite. The design team combined have over 60 years’ experience in the design of machine guarding and PUWER 98 safety system design solutions that work for our clients.
Our design team have the finest tools, equipment and expert knowledge to create the very best designs for your custom-built machine guards and noise reducing acoustic enclosures.
Our designers have even produced design work offsite for clients who needed it, including live design trips to York, UK and Boston in the USA. We offer this service World-wide.

Sponmech have state of the art machinery to fabricate and manufacture all machinery safety guarding, bespoke mesh fencing and acoustic booth work.
Amongst our armor of machinery there includes CNC punch pressing machines, CNC press braking machines and CNC guillotines. We work with a range of materials from stainless steel to polycarbonate.
All engineers adhere to the Sponmech Welding Manual, which serves as the official guide and reference for the minimum standards of welding quality required in their work.
We can manufacture to a customers’ own drawing when requested. We accept several data formats e.g. DXF / DWG / STEP FILES.
Sponmech has an on-site powder coating facility, led by our Head of Paint, James.
With over 40 years of experience in powder coating, we offer expert finishing services. Customers can choose to have their machine guards painted in any RAL colour to suit their specifications.

Our most popular standard toolroom (Tecno Piu) machine safety guards are kept in stock and the pack and despatch team are proud to despatch in record timings.
We are not bound or held up by complex ordering systems, which can sometimes cause a delay on deliveries. If the machine guard is in stock, we will do our utmost to despatch it the same or next working day using a proven and reliable courier.
Sponmech have an ISO 9001 quality management system for "the design, manufacture and installation of acoustic and non acoustic machinery safety guards (including aluminium guards) to BS EN ISO 9001:2015." UKAS NQA certificate No 9968.
Our comprehensive machine guarding service includes installation by the most experienced machine safety engineers. Our installation team carry national safety passports and will always be fully briefed ahead of any machine guarding our acoustic enclosure fitting project.
Our installations are project managed in-house, and you will receive a risk assessment, method statement and a copy of our insurances before we attend your site. We operate installations UK-wide. We’ve been to London, Devon, Liverpool, Cambridge, Derby, Chichester, Milton Keynes and Cardiff to install our fully compliant safety guarding systems. Just to name a few!
